The Herts & Essex Family Mediation Service is an alternative dispute resolution service established in 1985, to help alleviate distress and solve disputes. We are a registered charity run by a management committee of trustees, service managers & practice supervisors.

We provide family, community and homelessness prevention mediation services, as well as a children and parent counselling service.

We are part of the National Family Mediation network and organisational members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. We are franchised by the Legal Services Commission to provide publicly funded (legal aid) mediation and all our family mediators are accredited by the UK College of Family Mediators.

We are based in Harlow, Essex, and can hold appointments in Bishops Stortford and Hertford.
